• A Very Busy Month at the Food Bank

    by  • August 2, 2014 • Food Bank News

Mixed emotions about this report, we have just completed the figures for the month of July and they are massive, we received 112 referrals in the month and supplied 2,320 meals into the local community, this brings our total so far this year 10,962 meals and by far our busiest month.

We have been able to help so many people with genuine needs and the team at King’s Food Bank feel honoured that we are able to provide help in times of crisis.

Many of you who read this are helping us with donations of food and for this we sincerely thank you, please keep them coming, we have used approximately 4,000 items during July.

Asda in Kendal are collecting for us this month, they have a trolley next to the security desk. Donations can also be left at the Westmorland Gazette office, Kendal Fire Station and Tim Farron’s office during normal working hours.
